Garbage was being disposed of in space.
The planet Meego is a dumping ground exclusively for industrial waste.
Every day, unmanned garbage carriers arrive from Earth
Inorganic garbage is dumped.
From children's toys to scrapped spaceships.
All kinds of things are randomly thrown away.
In another 50 years, this planet will be filled with garbage.
There is no sign of life on Mego.

惑星ミーゴ
西暦２１××年、地球のゴミ処理能力は限界を超え、
宇宙にゴミを廃棄していた。
惑星ﾐ−ゴは産業廃棄物専用のゴミ捨て場である。
毎日のように地球から無人のゴミ運搬船がやってきては
無機質なゴミを棄てていく、
子供のおもちゃからスクラップ状態の宇宙船まで、
ありとあらゆるものが無造作に捨てられている。
後５０年もすればこの惑星もゴミで埋めつくされる。
惑星ﾐ−ゴには生命反応はなく、
岩がごろごろの荒涼とした星だ。
ここ数日間、ﾐ−ゴに地震が続いている。
この地震の影響で１年前に捨てられた産業用ロボットが動きだした。
エネルギーは光変換エネルギーシステムを搭載しているので
光さえあれば反永久的に動く。
ロボット修理工場で新型ロボットとして人気のあった機種だが新機能搭載ロボットが発売されてすぐに、おはらい箱になり、ここに捨てられた。
ロボットの中に埋め込まれたコンピューターのプログラムが作動しはじめ、
壊れている他のロボットをゴミの山の中から捜しては修理を始めた。
こうしてロボットのリサイクル活動が始まり多くのロボットが再生され、
ロボット達はそれぞれの機能にしたがって働き始めた。
夜の短いミ−ゴは光を充分にエネルギーに変えても余りあるほどだった。
地球から毎日送られてくるゴミで資源にはことかかない。
24時間動けるロボットの生産能力によりミ−ゴは
ロボットの生産工場と化していた。
しだいにロボットは再生産するだけではなく
新たなロボットをも作りはじめ進化を始めた。
進化していくための知識や技術は地球から送られてくるゴミの中から情報を取り出せば十分であった。
５年で惑星ミ−ゴに無機質なロボット文明が誕生した。
一番能力の高いコンピューターを搭載したロボットがリーダーとなりロボット帝国を築いた。
50年後、地球からのゴミ運搬船の運行が途絶えた。
惑星ミ−ゴのゴミ処理能力を50年と計算した人類はゴミの処理を他の惑星に変えていた。
もちろんロボット帝国ミ−ゴの存在には気付いていない。
地球からのゴミ資源が途絶えたミ−ゴのロボット達は新天地を求め巨大な宇宙船を作り宇宙に旅立った。
めざすは地球・・・・
3ヶ月後地球に着いたミ−ゴ帝国軍と人類の間で戦争が始まりミ−ゴの開発した新型爆弾により人類は壊滅した。
その後、ミ−ゴ帝国は無駄なものは一切生産せず
全てのものはリサイクルされた。
地球に優しいミ−ゴ帝国はいつまでも栄えた。
